Adoption Requirements

  • Verifiable Identification: All adopters must have valid identification.
  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to adopt.
  • Landlord Consent: If renting, you must provide landlord consent to bring a pet into your home.
  • Spay/Neuter Requirement: All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered.
  • Safe Transport: Pets must leave the shelter either on a collar and leash or in a pet carrier.
  • Adoption Contract: By adopting, you agree to all terms outlined in the adoption contract. ESHA reserves the right to deny any application.
Adoption Fees

Adoption Procedures

1.  We have our animals listed on Petfinder (www.petfinder.com). Select the animal you would like to adopt.

2.  Fill out the adoption application on our website.

3.  Eastshore personnel completes the approval process please fill out the application correctly to speed process.

4.  You pay the adoption fee. We accept cash, credit or check. You and Eastshore personnel complete the adoption.

5.  You take your pet home.  We DO NOT ship animals.
