Aspen is a true shelter favorite and a dog who has captured the hearts of everyone who meets him. This handsome guy is a total love bug with a gentle soul, and he’s now patiently waiting for the forever home he truly deserves.
Aspen has spent time in the shelter, was adopted, and unfortunately returned due to a food allergy—but with the right care, he is doing great. Aspen is currently on a daily medication for itching, which he takes without issue, and a prescription diet that he happily eats twice a day. These will need to be continued indefinitely, as they have significantly improved his skin condition and overall comfort. We are hopeful to find a committed, loving home that will continue this routine and help Aspen thrive.
Aspen is kennel trained, potty trained, and does well on leash and walks. He is wonderful with children and has a calm, affectionate nature that makes him an absolute joy to be around. One of his most endearing traits? Aspen gives the best hugs on command—a talent that has made him a fast favorite among shelter staff and volunteers.

Cupcake is a beautiful long-haired German Shepherd born on 9/2/2017. He is neutered, fully vetted, and has even had a dental completed — this handsome boy is ready for the right person to give him the second chance he deserves.
Cupcake came into our care after his beloved owner passed away. The two shared a very close bond, and understandably, Cupcake has taken time to adjust to all the changes in his world. He forms deep connections with his people and thrives in a calm, predictable environment.
Cupcake will require a specialized home without children or other pets. He does best in a quieter household with minimal visitors, as he values his space and needs time to warm up to new people. With patience and consistency, he shows his sweet, loyal nature.
He is currently working on his manners and has been doing well with structure and training here at the shelter. Cupcake is learning to trust again — and watching him open up has been incredibly rewarding.

Meet Patty & Tilly – Bonded Sisters Looking for a Forever Home!
Patty and Tilly are two sweet, spunky chihuahuas who found themselves in a heartbreaking situation. Rescued from a large-scale dog hoarding case here in Wisconsin, these loving sisters are now ready to begin their next chapter surrounded by comfort, kindness, and family.
Both girls are spayed, fully vetted, and have received extensive dental care due to neglect in their past. Because of this, they’ll need to stay on a soft-food diet for life, but that certainly doesn’t slow them down! Patty and Tilly also take daily seizure medication, which they do very well with.
Still learning what it means to be carefree, happy pets, they thrive in calm and gentle environments. Their perfect home will check a few key boxes:

✔ Small-breed dog friends only – big dogs can overwhelm them

Huey has quite the story to tell. He, along with two other dogs, was found abandoned at a local golf course. After spending over a week in foster care while efforts were made to locate an owner, the three hounds were brought to our shelter to start their next chapter.
Huey is a true hound through and through—his nose is always to the ground, leading the way on his next adventure! He’s vocal, with a loud bark, and isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts. While he can be talkative, he is also incredibly sweet and affectionate, making him a lovable companion for the right home.
Born approximately 4/8/2022, Huey will need a supportive and understanding home familiar with hound breeds and their unique traits. He is not suited for apartment living and would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can safely explore and follow his nose. Huey would prefer to be the only dog in the home and is not a match for homes with cats or small children.

🐾 Meet Louie
Louie’s journey started the same as his buddy Huey—he was one of three dogs found abandoned at a local golf course. After spending over a week in foster care while attempts were made to locate an owner, Louie and his companions were brought to our shelter to begin their new chapter.

Dewey came to us under the same circumstances as his hound buddies—he was found abandoned at a local golf course alongside two other dogs. After spending over a week in foster care while efforts were made to locate an owner, Dewey was brought into our shelter so we could help him find the stable, loving home he deserves.
Born approximately 12/21/2022, Dewey is a handsome hound with a big personality and an even bigger nose for adventure. Like most hounds, he is driven by scent and loves to explore his surroundings with enthusiasm. He can be quite vocal at times, but beneath that classic hound voice is a very sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys attention and companionship.
Dewey will thrive in a home that understands the hound breed and can provide both patience and structure as he continues to grow. He is still polishing up his manners and will benefit from ongoing training, consistency, and positive guidance. Due to his energy and curiosity, he is not suited for apartment living and would do best in a home with space to move and explore. A securely fenced yard is preferred to safely support his love of sniffing and wandering.

This distinguished gentleman came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past—but we do know he’s a talkative, affectionate, and food-motivated kitty! Ruder fought to survive on the streets, which has led him to test positive for FIV. Don’t worry—FIV-positive cats can live long, healthy lives with proper care!

Ruder also came to us with some unique eyes. A veterinarian has checked them, and they do not cause him pain, and he can see perfectly. He receives daily eyedrops to prevent dryness and takes them like a champ!

Brownie is an affectionate, playful young girl who truly loves everyone she meets. Born around May 31, 2025, she is full of personality and charm, making her a wonderful companion for the right home. Brownie enjoys attention, loves to play, and has a sweet, loving nature that makes her a joy to be around.
Brownie is spayed and fully vetted, and ready to start her next chapter in a forever home.
During her medical screening, Brownie tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). While this diagnosis can sound scary, it’s important to know that many FeLV-positive cats live happy, comfortable lives for years. In fact, studies show that a significant number of FeLV-positive cats can live normal, quality lives with proper care and regular veterinary monitoring.
Brownie is still a normal, healthy cat who enjoys life just like any other kitty. She will need to go to a home with no other cats or a home with other FeLV-positive cats only. FeLV is not contagious to dogs or people, so she can safely live with canine companions and human family members.
We would love to see Brownie thrive in a loving forever home where she can continue to blossom and share her sweet personality.

Toughie is a handsome boy, born approximately 2/2/20, who was found as a stray and brought to safety. Now neutered and fully vetted, he’s ready to leave his past behind and find a loving forever home.
Toughie did test positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), but don’t let that scare you away. FeLV cannot be spread to dogs or humans, and many FeLV-positive cats go on to live happy, normal lives with the right care and lots of love. We recommend Toughie go to a home with other FeLV-positive cats, or he would be perfectly happy being your one and only feline companion.

Tremble came to us as an abandoned, injured kitten and was later diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH)—a non-painful, non-contagious neurological condition that affects balance and coordination. Often called “wobbly cat syndrome,” CH never slows Tremble down! He lives a happy, normal life and doesn’t let his wiggles get in the way of playtime, cuddles, or exploring.
