Adopt a Barn Cat

Got mice?

You can cut down on unwanted rodents by recruiting the services of a barn cat(s).  Eastshore Humane has healthy, sterilized feral cats in need of new homes.  Veterinary care has been given (sterilized, rabies and exam).  No adoption fee will be assesssed.  Your only responsibliity will be to provide a daily food and water source, have somewhere warm and dry for the cats to sleep and provide veterinarian care when needed.  In return you will get an efficient mouse-patrol!

The cats need to be confined initially in their new home for at least two to four weeks in order to familiarize them with their new environment so they will remain on the premises.  We ask that you take two or more cats because they provide each other with companionship and snuggle together to keep warm.  This program offers these wonderful animals a chance at a safe life that is best for them.  We want to place them in a permanent situation where they can still "earn their keep" and be an asset to the barn owner - WITHOUT REPRODUCING!

Please contact the shelter (920) 849-2390 if you could offer a rural home, farm, horse stable, warehouse or another suitable outdoor location to any of these cats.
