Java is our Pet of the Week!

java.jpg

HI, I'm Java! The shelter thinks I'm part lab, part chow because of my super cool black tongue. I'm about 6 years young and have oodles of energy! I love to play fetch and play with other dogs. I am spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Betty Koeller was the first doner to our FUNKY CAT ROOM FUND. We have reached our goal of $2,000.00 to make improvements to the communal cat room and are now in the search for our materials listed below. If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to e-mail or call at 920-849-2390.

For those of you who missed the August Paws ‘N’ Prints article—Eastshore is planning improvements to the communal cat adoption room. This area is where potential adopters can observe the cats and kittens.

We plan to add eastern red cedar cat trees, wall-anchored shelves, funky cedar scratching posts, and kitty gyms.  Eastern cedar is hard enough for satisfying scratching yet not so hard as to splinter and stick in the cats paws.  The cedar cat furniture holds up much longer and is more sanitary for the cats than the carpeted furniture.

P.S.  The shelter cats have given the project two paws up!
